Sonic has appeared in many games in the last decade, and now you can relive seven of them from Sonic Mega Collection Plus. This compilation includes the first three Sonic the Hedgehog titles, plus Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Flickies' Island, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. The Plus version also adds more content, such as illustrations and movies, to Sonic Mega Collection .
- You have to enter these codes at the options:jukebox screen,to enter each code you must press the c button at each corresponding number.

Press Start and then hold A until Sonic appears. There should be hex code where your score should be, and the time should have nothing to do with your elapsed act time.Press B while playing to switch into debug placement mode. Then, press A to switch between sprites or C to place the sprite. Then, press B again to go back to playing as Sonic. Repeat.

Go to options, then go to sound test. Play 19, 65, 09, 17. After you hit 17 you should hear a ring sound. After that press start, hold square. As soon as the menu shows up, keep holding square and press start on one player.SUPER SONIC:
Do the level select code. Then while in the level select menu, go to sound test, and play 04, 01, 02, and 06. As soon as you hit 06, you will hear the jingle for chaos emeralds. Now just pick a level, collect 50 rings and jump. - Level Select:
During the time it takes for Sonic to load in the beginning, press 'up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up' on the D-Pad. (Note: This is hard to do, but you'll get it right eventually.) If you did this correctly, you can scroll down past the 'Competition' selection on the menu, and you will get an "Options" menu.
Debug Mode:
On the 'level select screen', go to any stage of your choice, hold down the button that is the 'A' button for the Sega Genesis, and press start. - Enter this code at the title screen. Once you start the game you will be able to select your level. (The buttons used to enter the code are according to the default control setting)

Sonic & Knuckles Cheats
- While playing sonic 3 and knuckles press Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up in the mushroom hill zone, while on one of the pully things. (Just like level select in normal Sonic and Knuckles.) I think you have to do the level select code first.

During this time, you are free to walk through walls. This can also be done in select areas of levels where there is no path for Knuckles.
Sonic 3D Blast Cheats
- Go to the Press Start screen and enter the code: B,A, Right, A, C, Up, Down, A (or baracuda). You should then be taken to the main screen. Press the Start Option ad the level select will appear next. Choose your level and begin play.
- Enter the Level Select code twice, and go to a level/act with Knuckles or Tails in it. Enter one of their bonus levels by collecting 50 rings. When the bonus level begins, press A + Start and you will recieve the emerald for the bonus level.
- Do the level select code and start the game in any level. To skip levels, pause the game and press A.
- Beat the entire game with all the Chaos Emerald. After the credits, the stage select will be on.
Sonic the Hedgehog Cheats
- When you ride the green block accross a sea of lave, there are a couple of big blocks in front of you with rings on. If you hold the D-PAD DOWN button, Sonic will crouch. The green block will go underneath the blocks, but sonic will remain on it, and pass through the walls. Note that this ONLY WORKS WHILE CROUCHING
Unlockable How to Unlock Different ending Beat game with all chaos emeralds.
- Using the level select cheat, scroll down and select "Special Stage". Upon completion on the stage, you will receive a chaos emerald, and begin playing your game on the first stage. At this point, RESET the game via the RESET button on your Genesis, re-enter the level select code, and repeat the process. You will enter the next Special Stage level, and have a chance to earn the 2nd Emerald. You can repeat this process over and over until you have all 6 Chaos Emeralds. However, once you have all six, do NOT reset the system and select a level, or else you will lose them all.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Cheats
- Press up, up, up, down, down, down, up at the title screen
- Weird trick, but you can play this game in slow motion. First, enter the level select code, found somewhere in the list of all other codes. Then start your game in any level. When you start, press pause. Then hold down B button and try to do anything with Sonic. The game will play in slow motion as long as you hold down the B button.

- In Oil Ocean Zone, if you manage to take a hit and end up landing in one of those green-and-gold checkered cannons, you'll fall right out, but you'll be moving at twice your normal speed as well as jumping twice your normal height(with twice as much gravity). A good place for doing this would be in Oil Ocean Zone, Act 2, near the first set of pop-tops and cannons. Just jump into the semi-hidden bed of spikes on the right and land in the cannon.Note: Moving at twice normal velocity can often get you stuck in a wall. Also, this wears off if you Super Spin Dash or Spin Dash. It also only lasts for that Act.
- Normally, when you turn into super sonic you lose tails behind you all the time.
Well, after you put in the debug cheat and have started a level (preferrably Emerald Hill), turn yourself into a box and place it somewhere on the floor WHILE you are super sonic. It should be a switch places box. Hit it and you will see tails will have a permanent invincible circle around him. He will stay like this through the whole level, he will keep up with super sonic or even out run him. A very fun glitch for 2 players.
- If you beat the Death Egg with Tails you get the Tails ending.
Unlockable How to Unlock Tail's Ending. Beat the Death Egg with tails.
- Go to the sound test (not the one on the level select) and put in 19, 65, 09, 17, 01, 01, 02, 04 (press A after each one). There won't be a confirmation sound. Start the game by pressing Start on the first option (character select) and you should have 14 continues.
- First, you enter the stage select code, shown above. Then you go into the Special Stage in the stage select menu. Every time you finish the special stage press reset and go back to the special stage. Keep doing this until you get the sixth emerald. Then you don't press reset. It will just zap you with your six emeralds into emerald hill. Get the last emerald on Emerald Hill get 50 rings and jump to be super sonic. Be careful to not run out of rings or else you will change into Sonic again. The rings start dissapearing when you are Super sonic.
- First, enable the level select cheat and the debug mode which are available here. For this to work, you must choose Sonic and Tails as the players.
After entering the codes, choose any stage from the level select menu(preferrably stage 1)
As soon as you can move Sonic, hold down, and press C(don't let go of down on the D-pad). This will activate Sonic's spin; Tails will copy the Sonic spin also.
Press the B button and Sonic will become the Debug cursor.(Tails will be locked in the sonic spin move).
Press A until you(the debug cursor), displays an enemy sprite, like the monkey or that bee robot. Now that the debug cursor displays an enemy sprite, move the debug cursor to where Tails is, and repeatedly tap C.
This will produce enemies where Tails is, and since Tails is locked in the sonic spin move, he will destroy the enemies. As Tails destroys enemies in this position, press C more until the score for destroying an enemy increases from 100 to 8000 to a 1up. Once you have enough 1ups, press B again to revert to Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Cheats
- When the "SEGA" screen fades, quickly press Up-up-down-down-up-up-up-up. If you have done this right, you should be able to scroll down to "Sound Test" below "Competition". The ups and downs are very difficult in the short amount of time provided, but with practice, it is pretty easy.
- Enter the following code in any stage while Debug Mode is entered

- Make your way to the end of Act 1 of Hydrocity Zone (Zone 2). When facing the mini-boss, keep yourself underwater until the water warning music plays. Then jump out of the water.
The game should now be playing the mini-boss music from Sonic and Knuckles, which wasn't out at the time (the music was evidently included in Sonic 3 to make the backwards compatibility feature easier). - In the Icecap Zone Act 1, when you come to a wall that only Knuckles can bust through, Hold the Down button until sonic or tails looks down, and the screen pans all the way down. Then Press up and jump at the same time. The screen will start to rotate, walk in the direction of the wall and you will walk right thru it. This only works on Act 1 of The Icecap Zone.
- Manage to beat a stage at with your time at exactly 9:59 and you'll net yourself an easy 100000 points.
- To get all 7 Chaos Emeralds without having to complete their Special Stages, first enter the level select and sound test code. Go to the Sound Test and play the following tunes in order: 02, 04, 05, 06. You will hear an emerald sound if the code is entered correctly. To get Super Sonic after entering the previous code, just select any level from the level select and start it. Once you acquire 50 Rings, do a double-jump to become Super Sonic.
- When playing a level after enabling the level select cheat, pause the game, then press the C button to advance the game by one frame.
- On the level select menu, play sounds 01, 03, 05, 07. Highlight Special Stage 2 and press A + Start.
- Get up to Launch Base Zone. Sound any of the alarms, so that the Kamikaze birds come after you. Charge up a Super Sonic Dash in between the alarm, but do not let go of the button. The birds will continually crash into you. After about 30 seconds, you will have gained enough points to get an extra life. Continue the process for as many lives as you want.
- When you have done the level select cheat go to the Stage Select screen and choose the special zone for playing Blue Sphere. Select Knuckles as your character and start, when you quit and go back to Stage Select and choose a stage, you'll be Knuckles without having to use the Sonic and Knuckles add on.
- When playing any level which you have accesed using the cheat menu , pause the game and hold down B. Whilst B is held down , the game will play in slow motion mode.
Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball Cheats
- At the options menu, enter the opposite of the level select code: C, Up, B, Up, A, Up, C, B, Down, C, A, Down, B, A, Down. Complete the code correctly and the credits will start immedeately.
- First, Access the Options from the title screen. On the Options Menu, take controller one and press these buttons in this order: A, DOWN, B, DOWN, C, DOWN, A, B, UP, A, C, UP, B, C, UP. If you did it correctly, you will hear a special sound. Go back to the title screen and hold button A and press START for Level 2, B and press START for Level 3, and C and press START to begin on level 4.
Unlockable How to Unlock Multi-Ball Stage Collect every ring in any stage.
- In Level three, The Machine, there is a moving platform where you start which takes you to either side of the area. If you stand on the platform and press up or down, the platform will stop, allowing you to get a good look around or plan your jump carefully.
